Dear Friend: Greetings in Jesus' name! Autumn is upon us,
and soon we will be entering the holiday season! It seems as
if the year has truly flown by. God's great faithfulness has
been demonstrated daily to us, and we have experienced His
mercy day by day. Our experience leads us to believe these
words of the Prophet Jeremiah: "It is of the Lord's mercies
that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The
Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore I will hope in
him" (Lamentations 3:22-24).
May you find in Him your hope, your strength, your wisdom,
your life, your health, and your purpose. He will always be
there to lead you and guide you. Truly He is everything to
those who place their trust in Him. A New Beginning It has been correctly stated that "Christianity is the land
of new beginnings." Here at Bridge-Logos, we will be
experiencing a "new beginning" in the very near future, for
we will be moving our headquarters from Orlando to Alachua,
Florida, later this month.
Our reason for this move is threefold:
- It will enable us to consolidate all of our operations,
including warehousing, under one roof.
- It will enable us to serve you better in every way,
because our larger warehouse will help us to meet the
demands of our growing business.
- It will enable us to trim our operating expenses
considerably, and will make it easier to stay in touch with
you.
As soon as everything is in place, we will let you know what
our new address and phone
numbers will be.
It is an exciting time for us, as we continue our forty-year
adventure with the Lord. He is leading us and guiding us
each step of the way, and we praise Him for His great
faithfulness to us. We know the truth of this verse: "For as
many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of
God" (Rom. 8:14). We are joyful in our service to the One
who is leading us, our heavenly Father who has adopted us
into His family.
The Top Forty Under Forty
We are pleased to announce that our COO and Sales and
Marketing Director, Steve Becker, has been selected by
Christian Retailing magazine to appear in their upcoming
list of the top forty people in the industry who are under
forty years of age. Congratulations, Steve, for this is a
much-deserved honor.
Foxe: Voices of the Martyrs
As you know, our supply of
Foxe: Voices of the Martyrs was
not adequate to keep up with the overwhelming demand for
this beautiful, challenging, and inspiring book that we have
published in partnership with the Voice of the Martyrs.
We're happy to be able to report that it is currently being
reprinted, and we will have a renewed supply of this title
early next year. We'll let you know when we can start
shipping it to you.
Upcoming Releases
Several promising, new titles will be released in December
and early next year:
- The Ultimate Who's Who in the Bible. This revision of our
earlier title, The Compleat Who's Who in the Bible, brings
over 3000 Bible characters to life in a narrative format.
There is an interesting biography of each person, which is
presented as a coherent and continuous story. New features
include CD-ROM software for the book (allowing readers to
search and research all the contents), an index, maps, and
individual timelines of the lives of these Bible characters.
- Dialed In by Billy Mauldin. This book will give you an
inside look at MRO-Motor Racing Outreach-the ministry to
NASCAR. NASCAR drivers put their lives on the line every day
when they step on the accelerator. Faith in God is an
important factor in their ability to keep fear at bay, as
they take on the challenges of racing. You will learn from
this book that many of the principles of professional racing
can be applied to your life-the basics of living full
throttle for the Lord. The stories and teaching contained in
this book are candid, and they are filled with triumph and
victory.
- Surviving the Fitness Game by JoAnna Ward. JoAnna was a
contestant on CBS's "Survivor: Amazon." She is also a
fitness expert, a personal trainer, and a teacher. Her new
book, a 28-day devotional, uses powerful keys of faith to
help readers lose weight and stay fit. (An exercise DVD is
included with this book.)
- 1001 Things You Should Know Before You Die by Allan and
Yvonne Ansdell. This book is a new, fun-filled, and
thought-provoking way of looking at the Bible. It presents
solid biblical truths that people need to know in a
"treasure-hunt" style that leads the reader to seek the
answers from the Bible for themselves. It will be a great
gift for friends and family members.
- Removing the Veil by Margaret English. This is an
in-depth study of the important role of women in the Church
and society today. It is written by the chaplain of the
women's division of the Orange County Prison in Orlando,
Florida. Her teaching is filled with personal illustrations
from her own life and ministry, and it provides an in-depth
study of biblical truths related to women.
-
The Fourfold Gospel by A. B. Simpson. This Pure Gold
Classic presents Simpson's clear teaching regarding
salvation, sanctification, healing, and the return of the
Lord Jesus Christ-the fourfold gospel. (An audio CD
containing excerpts from this book is included.)
- Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation by Dennis Peterson.
This is a comprehensive look at creation, astronomy, and
related topics from a Christian point of view. This
beautifully illustrated hard-cover book that contains
four-color pictures throughout and will be a great help to
students of all ages, as they learn about creation science.
This book is very useful in Christian schools and homeschools, as well.
Unity Publishers
We are pleased to announce a new line of books that will be
produced by our company—Unity Publishers. These co-published
works will be used in ministry around the world. The first
two will be released in the very near future:
- A Prophet's Last Words by Gunnar Johnson. Before he died
Pastor Johnson wrote down the words God gave him for the
Church and the world. You will be edified, strengthened,
challenged, and inspired by what he has recorded in this
easy-to-read book.
- The Safe Room by Carol Mog. This is a book that will help
victims of abuse and those who work with them. The author
illustrates her teaching with many personal illustrations
and scriptural truths.
Scratch and Sniff
In December Bridge-Logos will release two new children's
books by Ray Comfort. The books are beautiful, creative,
clever, and they are boldly illustrated with four-color
pictures throughout. They also contain various scents, which
relate to the illustrations. These books will hold the
interest of children (ages 4-10), because they are
well-written, beautifully illustrated, and when the reader
scratches the nose image that appears on many different
pages, he or she will be able to smell various things within
the story, including pumpkins, peppermint, and many other
scents. These two books are:
-

What Your Nose Shows
Dennis and Rita Bennett, and Harold Hill
As you may know, Bridge-Logos has a series of books that are
known as Spirit-filled Classics. These titles are focused on
the work of the Holy Spirit. Recently we republished
The
Holy Spirit and You by Dennis and Rita Bennett—one of our
all-time bestsellers—as one of our Spirit-filled classics.
And this month we will be releasing Harold Hill's fascinating
work How to Live Like a King's Kid as a Spirit-filled
classic.
It was my privilege to know these folks and to be
able to sit under their teachings. My life was greatly
impacted by their ministry, and it is my hope that a whole
new generation of believers will discover the vital and
always-timely truths of these true classics and treasure the
Christian teaching and wisdom they contain.
