Dear Friend: We used to sing a little chorus entitled
“I’ve Got Peace Like a River.” Other verses in that song
said, “I’ve got love like an ocean” and “I’ve got joy like a
fountain.” As you know, these are elements of the fruit of
the Spirit. D. L. Moody provides us with a vivid
description of the fruit of the Spirit in our Pure Gold
Classic—Secret Power. His insights are valuable and
enlightening:
- Joy is love exulting.
- Peace is love in repose.
- Longsuffering is love on
trial.
- Gentleness is love in
society.
- Goodness is love in
action.
- Faith is love on the
battlefield.
- Meekness is love at
school.
- Temperance is love in
training.

There is no law against these qualities,
which believers are able to put into
practice every day. Paul wrote, “If we live
in the Spirit, let us also walk in the
Spirit” (Galatians 5:25). Let me encourage
you to walk in joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and
temperance. There is no better way.
A New Shareholder for Bridge-Logos
Foundation
The Board of Shareholders of Bridge-Logos
Foundation (Ed Harding, Suzanne Wooldridge,
and Lloyd Hildebrand) voted unanimously to
appoint Stephen Becker, Executive Vice
President of Sales and Marketing, to the
position of Shareholder. The office of
Shareholder is a leadership position that
enables the person to vote on major issues
affecting the ministry. This is a
much-deserved honor for Steve, who has
faithfully served this ministry for seven
years in a variety of capacities. Steve’s
work in sales and marketing has brought
growth and expansion to our company.
Congratulations, Steve, on all your
accomplishments. We are delighted to have
you as one of our shareholders.

Meet Joe Becker
Joe Becker is the Warehouse Manager of
Bridge-Logos Foundation. He has worked for
this ministry since 2002. Previously, Joe
was the Administrative Director of a medical
center hospital, and he served as a torpedo
man in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
Joe is an ordained minister who pastors a
growing church in Gilchrist County, Florida.
He was ordained with Gospel Crusade in
Bradenton, Florida, where he received Christ
as his Savior under the ministry of former
Logos author Larry Tomczak.
He holds a BA degree in Medical Technology
and a PhD in Health Care Administration. Joe
is married to Sandy. He has six children,
fourteen grandchildren, and three great
grandchildren.
Joe likes working with Bridge-Logos
Foundation, because he views his work as a
ministry. He is happy to see our company
publishing books that help Christians in
their daily walk with the Lord. He says,
“Bridge-Logos has been given to God, and God
is making it grow and flourish. I am so
thankful for the family-type atmosphere we
have here.”
Thank you, Joe Becker, for all you do to
assure the success of Bridge-Logos
Foundation.
Ray Comfort
We are so thankful to be able to work with
Ray Comfort, who has written nearly seventy
books and continues to share the Gospel of
Jesus Christ wherever he goes. I have had
the opportunity to watch him minister on a
couple of occasions, and I am impressed by
his warmth, sincerity, commitment, and
dedication to the Lord. His love for
children is obvious, and it seems as if
children are attracted to him everywhere.
His work with kids reminds me of Jesus’
words: “Suffer little children to come unto
me, and forbid them not: for of such is the
kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you,
whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of
God as a little child shall in no wise enter
therein” (Luke 18:16-17).
Ray’s two new works with us are: Jake’s
Fortune and Luther Gold. Both are now
available for distribution and are selling
quite well. I apologize for stating in a
previous newsletter that Jake’s Fortune is
Ray’s first novel. It is actually his second
work of fiction. He also wrote Mystery,
which sold more than 30,000 copies.
Please pray for Ray, his family, and his
hard-working staff at Living Waters.
Author Appearances
Kevin Cross, author of
Building Your
Financial Fortress in 52 Days, will be
appearing on “The Herman and Judy Show” on CTN (Christian Television Network) on
February 4. Incidentally, we will be
releasing a new book by Kevin in the near
future. It is entitled Embezzlement.
Mary Kaarto, author of
Help for the Laid
Off, will be appearing on “The Parents’
Plate” radio show with host Brenda Nixon on
February 16 at 10:00 EST. (This will be
aired on Toginet radio.)
NRB
Shawn Myers, Bridge-Logos Foundation Publicist, will be
attending Women in Christian Media in
Nashville on February 25-26 and the National
Religious Broadcasters Convention on
February 27-28. I hope you’ll have a chance
to meet this very energetic and hard-working
member of our staff.
Hope for the Future
Percy Bysshe Shelley wrote, “If winter
comes, can spring be far behind?” It seems
as though this winter has been particularly
harsh in many parts of the world, but the
hope of springtime helps to make it
bearable. In less than two months spring
will arrive, flowers will start to bloom,
grass will turn green, and the trees will
once again be filled with foliage. I know
you must be looking forward to it, as I am.
In describing the way a Christian should
live, Paul writes, “Rejoicing in hope;
patient in tribulation; continuing instant
in prayer” (Romans 12:12). We have so much
to be hopeful for, and this enables us to be
patient in tribulation. May the God of hope
fill your heart with peace and joy, as we
anticipate all that He has in store for us.
Every blessing to you and yours,
Lloyd B. Hildebrand
