Dear Friend: I hope
this is a joyful time of the year for you. Billy Sunday
wrote, “If you have no joy in your religion, there’s a leak
in your Christianity somewhere.” I think he was right-on
with that statement. Joy is a reflection of the life of
God within us and an immeasurable source of strength.
Nehemiah wrote, “The joy of the LORD is your strength”
(Nehemiah 8:10). That joyful strength is an echo that
emanates from the heart of God. It stems from childlike
faith and abiding trust. The Holy Spirit who lives within us
is an ever-flowing fountain of pure joy. During the last
week of June we experienced God’s joy in St. Louis, the site
of this year’s ICRS Convention. We met many old friends,
made new friends, and were able to present our books to many
people from all over the world. The sales were good, and the
business contacts were great. It truly was fun to be there.
Many thanks to all who stopped by our booth to see us.
 We
saw many joyful expressions on the faces of those who
entered our booth. Our theme was dinosaurs, because we
recently released Darek Isaacs’ new book,
Dragons or Dinosaurs? It was fun to watch children
and adults examining the dinosaur-related objects we had on
display, and to see them take delight in the toy dinosaur
eggs that hatched daily. The truth is that most children
seem to be joyful by nature due to their innocence, hope,
and trust and I think it would behoove us all to be more
like them in every respect. Jesus said, “I tell you the
truth, unless you change and become like little children,
you will never enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3,
NIV). Therefore, let us remember to be “. . . joyful
always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1
Thessalonians 5:16-18, NIV). Meet

have called our office. Her pleasant and friendly voice is
familiar to many of our customers. Niesha has worked with

data entry and customer service. I have heard her say many
times, “I love my job and our customers!” Niesha has been

a nursing home. Her interests include dancing, traveling,
outdoor activities, and going to the beach. She also enjoys
spending time with family and friends. She is the mother

our authors at the ICRS Convention:

his book,

copies of her popular book, did some media

everyone. On July 8, she appeared on “The 700

our booth and did some media interviews, as
well. He will be appearing on the James Robison

always good to see Phil, whose warmth,
enthusiasm, and humor enable him to minister to
others with ease.
Darek Isaacs,
