Dear Friend:

Christmas BibleChristmas is almost here! Frank McKibben wrote, “This is Christmas: not the tinsel, not the giving and receiving, not even the carols, but the humble heart that receives anew the wondrous gift, the Christ.”

The Apostle John wrote, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). One of the best ways to celebrate Christmas is to let people know about Jesus—Immanuel—God with us.

What a wonderful Christmas it would be if we each led someone (or several) to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It would result in wonderful joy for both the soul-winners and the ones who are saved. There would be great joy in Heaven, as well.

Let’s remember these words of William Parks: “Christmas is not just a day, an event to be observed and speedily forgotten. It is a spirit which should permeate every part of our lives. To believe that the spirit of Christmas does change lives and to labor for the realization of its coming to all men is the essence of our faith in Christ.”

A very merry Christmas to you and yours!

Authors on the Move

Julie KlosterEternal Truths of NarniaJulie Kloster, author of The Eternal Truths of Narnia, reminds us that the new motion picture, “Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” will be released in theaters on December 10. She writes, “I am hoping and praying that God will use the movie. . . . It would be wonderful if God would further the use this study [The Eternal Truths of Narnia]. . . . in conjunction with the movie to further His kingdom. It also seems like good timing with Christmas coming soon—the study along with the Narnia books will make a great gift set!” I heartily agree with Julie about this. Her study guide was very useful as I shared The Chronicles of Narnia with my grandchildren. Visit Julie's website at http://www.juliekloster.com.

God's Healing ArsenalPaul KingPaul King, author of God’s Healing Arsenal (to be released this winter) just returned from a ten-day ministry trip throughout western Pennsylvania, where he ministered at a Rekindle the Flame Renewal Conference with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and other churches. They experienced a powerful supernatural time, as God brought forth spiritual, emotional, and physical healings as well as deliverances. The gifts of the Holy Spirit were in operation in Alliance churches and their pastors. Paul reports that many are anticipating the release of his upcoming book.

During the week of January 2-9, 2011, Paul will be teaching at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York, and in a couple of churches. Later in January, Paul will be presenting a seminar (possibly on healing) at the South County Christian Center in St. Louis, a church that is pastored by Shawn Craig (of the music group Phillips, Craig, and Dean.)

Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron will be on TBN’s “Praise Program” on December 9, 2010. Have you ever watched Ray and Kirk on television as they reach out to the lost in so many different places around the world? To see them in operation is to be challenged, inspired, thrilled, and blessed. I praise God for their ministry of evangelism that is leading so many to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Building Your Financial Fortress in 52 DaysEmbezzlementKevin Cross, author of Building Your Financial Fortress in 52 Days and Embezzlement, has two major upcoming events. In January he will be on “Family Life Today” with Dennis Rainey. On January 15, 2011, the much-anticipated and talked about event called “Margin and Meaning—the Financial Event for Troubled Times” will be hosted by Fellowship Bible Church in Atlanta. Kevin also reports that the audio book for Embezzlement is now available in iTunes, and for a limited time it is available as free download at embezzlementbook.com
