June 2008 Bridge-Logos Newsletter

Dear Friend,

Greetings from warm and sunny Florida. We hope to see many of you in our state next month at the International Christian Retail Show (ICRS) in Orlando—July 14-17. Please stop by our booth (#601), which will be right in front of you as you go through the convention's main entrance.

One of our Pure Gold Classics, The Fourfold Gospel by A.B. Simpson, concludes with these words: “So I would say, if this precious little secret of ‘Christ in you’ will help you, you may have it. May you make better use of it than I! I feel I have only begun to learn how well it works. Take it and go on working it out, through time and eternity—Christ for all, grace for grace, from strength to strength, from glory to glory, from this time and even forevermore.” (From The Fourfold Gospel by A.B. Simpson; ISBN: 978-088270336-7; $14.99.)

My friend, this is my prayer for you—that you will experience the life of Christ within you. Many of us know who we are in Him. But do we truly understand who and what He is within us? The Bible says, “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27, KJV). Let His resurrection power stir you up to do great exploits in His name.

Pure Gold Classics

Our signature line is our Pure Gold Classics series—it has more than thirty books by great Christian writers of the past. Let me encourage you to learn the principles of the Kingdom of God from these courageous and devoted men and women of God who are still speaking dynamic truths to the Body of Christ.

Pure Gold Classics have an eight-point advantage over other classics: sensitively revised in modern English, audio-excerpts CD, color timeline, detailed indexes, author biographies, beautifully illustrated, in-depth Bible study, an ever-expanding collection.

Speaking of the latter advantage, I am happy to report that we will be presenting two new classics at the ICRS Convention:

  • Walking With God—The Andrew Murray Trilogy on Sanctification by Andrew Murray. (ISBN: 978-0-88270-474-6; $14.99.) This is actually three Murray classics in one—Waiting on God, Working for God, and Be Perfect.
  • The Holy Spirit—Who He Is and What He Does by R.A. Torrey. (ISBN: 97800-88270-473-0; $14.99.) Torrey’s teaching on the person and work of the Holy Spirit has brought thousands of sinners to Christ through the years and great spiritual power to believers. Your bookstore customers will surely want this great work for their collection.

In the near future, we will be adding works by Billy Sunday, John Newton, Andrew Murray, and others to our Pure Gold Classics.

Steve Becker Has Been Appointed to the CBA Advisory Committee

We are pleased to be able to announce the appointment of Steve Becker, Vice President of Sales and Marketing/COO, to the CBA Advisory Committee. We are proud of you, Steve, and know that you will continue your outstanding service to Christ in this new capacity.

Name-the-Theme-of-Our Booth Contest

I’m sorry to say that we still do not have a winner for our "Name-the-Theme-of-Our-Booth Contest." Several of you have sent in good guesses, and we want to thank you for your participation. You still have time to enter this contest; we will continue to accept your submissions until June 30, 2008. The winner will receive a copy of each of our Top Twenty books! Please send your guess to our sales consultant, Dawn Roach, at dawnroach@bridgelogos.com.

ICRS Assistance

As I mentioned in last month’s newsletter, we will be blessing five bookstores with $500.00 each to help with traveling expenses to next month’s show. We are doing this to encourage your attendance at the convention. If you would like to apply for assistance, please go to the program’s website, www.ICRSAssist.com, and write us for more information. We will make the final decision regarding the five bookstores on June 16, 2008.

A Blessed Summertime

As I conclude this newsletter, I want to wish you a very happy summertime. I hope you will come by our booth (#601) at the ICRS Convention next month; I look forward to meeting you there.

I opened this newsletter with a quotation from one of our Pure Gold Classics. To close it here is a quotation from God of All Comfort by Hannah Whitall Smith (ISBN: 0-88270-103-7; $13.99). She writes, “How can any of us dare to question or doubt God’s love? And, since He loves us, He cannot exist and fail to help us. Do we not know by our own experience what an imperative necessity it is for love to pour itself out in blessing on the ones it loves; and can we not understand that God, who is love, who is, if I may say so, made out of love, simply cannot help blessing us. We do not need to beg Him to bless us; He simply cannot help it.

“Therefore, God is enough! God is enough for time; God is enough for eternity. God is enough!”

May He fill you will all His sufficiency this summer and forever. Paul writes, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8, KJV).

Many blessings,
