Akeem Shomade was born in Nigeria, West Africa, to a Muslim family and practiced the Islamic faith until he felt that Jesus Christ was calling him to a personal relationship with Him. After attending a Christian school, he had to work his way through his personal fear of deserting and betraying his Muslim roots to become a Christian. In 1997 he received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, and today he is pastor of the Agape Love Church of Christ in the UK. He and his wife, Rufiat,  have two children, Kazeem and Abiodun.
