R. A. Torrey Books

R.A. TorreyR. A. Torrey was an American pastor, evangelist, author, and educator. Asked by D. L. Moody to head the Bible Institute of the Chicago Evangelization Society (now Moody Bible Institute); Dean of Bible Institute of Los Angeles; his pastorates included Chicago Avenue Church (now Moody Memorial Church) and Church of the Open Door, Los Angeles. R. A. Torrey was asked to speak at a memorial service for D. L. Moody, and his address, “Why God Used D. L. Moody,” has become one of his most popular works. Torrey wrote more than forty books, including the best-selling How to Pray.
